Milt Plum was a professional American football quarterback who played in the NFL for 12 seasons from 1957 to 1969. He was born on January 20, 1935, in Washington, D.C. Plum played college football at Penn State University before being drafted by the Cleveland Browns in the first round of the 1957 NFL Draft.
During his career, Plum played for the Cleveland Browns, Detroit Lions, Los Angeles Rams, and New York Giants. He was selected to the Pro Bowl in 1960 and led the NFL in passing yards in 1962 with the Lions. Plum was known for his accuracy and intelligence on the field, as well as his leadership qualities.
